Prior to Jens, Brian worked for one of the country's largest Construction Managers for 15 years. During his time he has worked on projects with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, the University of Michigan, Wheaton Franciscan Sisters, and General Motors among others. He brings extensive experience in healthcare, renovations, cost management, quality and safety. Brian is a May 2000 Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. He has earned his LEED-AP and is an Eagle Scout. Brian also has OSHA 30hr and ASHE Certifications.

Brian is married and has three sons. Brian has served as School Chairman for his sons' schools both in Iowa and Michigan. Brian and his wife have also been active in the area Down Syndrome organizations where they have lived.
